BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors will have four members who will serve as the Executive Committee. The four positions of the Executive committee shall be the President, the Vice President, the Treasurer and the Secretary. The term of these members will be five years, renewable for five years subject to willingness of the member to serve and the concurrence of seventy-five percent of the Board membership.

Dr. Aditya Samal

Chairman

Dr. Aditya Samal is a practising Cardiologist in Houston for the last 20 years. He was the director of the Cardiology department of The Methodist Hospital-Willowbrook campus. He has an MBBS from India and an MD from Ocshner Clinic in the US. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has published extensively in medical journals and books. He is a philanthropist at heart and helps run voluntary organizations including OCC as its Chairman of the board.

Dr. Gopal Mohapatra

President

Dr. Gopal Mohapatra works as a Geophysical advisor at Hess Corporation. Prior to that he worked for several years at ExxonMobil. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and then obtained his PhD from University of Arizona and MBA from University of Houston. He has served on and led several committees and boards of professional and voluntary organizations over the years.

Swaroop Panda

Vice President

Swaroop is an Information Technology proffessional, works with LyondellBasell as an Eneterprise Architect. His cheerful and easy going persoality makes him a go to person in the Odia community. He leads the maintenance team in OCC and serves as a Director in the board with full committment and vigour. He also led the South-West Chapter of Odisha Society of Americas as a President.

Tapan Behera

Secretary

Tapan works as an Associate Director with Accenture. He has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry. He has a Master's degree from Utkal University in India. His love for his community is immense and hence he is part of the executive team of the OCC board with a burning desire to directly benefit the community members by leading the organization from the front.

Sunil Sahoo

Treasurer

Sunil works for Wolters Kluwer as a team lead for IT and operations. He has more than 16 years of experience in the IT industry. He is passionate about life in general and wants to make other's lives better in any way he can. Serving on the OCC board is one of his ways of accomplishing that goal.

Anupam Satpathy

Director

Anupam works as a Enterprise Architect with Insperity in thier HRMS Solutions. Growing up in Baripada Odisha India. He serves the OCC BoD as a Director. He believes in engaging with community in a meaningful way to promote Indian culture and help the next generation to build a growth mindset through volunteering and serving the community they live in.

Aruni Acharya

Director

Aruni is an experienced management consulting professional and works for Infosys. He has an undergraduate degree in engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. He is strongly committed to serving the society and hence takes every available opportunity to do so, including leading OCC as its Vice President.

Sunil Parija

Director

Sunil is a business leader in the management consulting space, with a background in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India, and an MBA from Texas A&M University. He is deeply committed to community engagement, actively promoting Indian culture and encouraging the next generation to cultivate a growth mindset through volunteer work and community service.

Pradeep Samantray

Director

Pradeep works as a senior managing principal consultant for AST LLC. He has close to 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He has an undergraduate degree in engineering from Bangalore University in India and a degree in accounting from Santa Clara University. His sense of responsibility for the society he is a part of prompted him to join OCC as a director and take on the challenges of running a voluntary organization.

Arati Pati

Director

A dedicated member of Orissa Culture Center She is strongly committed to serving the society and hence takes every available opportunity to do so .

Karuna Kumari

Director

Karuna is an IT professional ,she holds a B.Tech degree in EEE from Berhampur University. Karuna can speak several Indian languages, which makes her more flexible and approachable to make new friends. She enjoys event management as a hobby during her free time. With her natural organizational skills and attention to detail, Karuna likes to plan and execute events that leave a lasting impression on attendees. She is dedicated to ensuring that everything runs smoothly and according to plan in OCC. Her passion for event planning has led her to develop a keen eye for aesthetics, design, and decor. Karuna is always on the lookout for new and innovative ideas to make each event unique and memorable.
